NSF Certified Stainless Steel Conduit & Fittings

NSF Certification

NSF certifications establish recognized standards for public health, sanitation, and material safety across industries such as food and beverage processing, water systems, and commercial facilities. These standards ensure products are suitable for use in environments where hygiene and contamination control are critical, including food and beverage processing and washdown applications.

From a specification standpoint, NSF certification indicates that a product has been evaluated for use in sanitary conditions. This includes material composition, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand routine cleaning and washdown without degrading or creating areas where contaminants can accumulate.

Unlike UL certifications, which focus on electrical safety and performance, NSF certifications address public health considerations tied to cleanability and environmental exposure. Products are evaluated against defined criteria and once certified, may bear the NSF mark.

Gibson’s stainless steel conduit, couplings, and elbows are NSF certified, meeting stringent standards for sanitation, hygienic design, and food-grade applications.

Additional Gibson Stainless products are designed for these environments and may meet NSF certification requirements where applicable, supporting sanitary, performance-critical applications.
